Sant Andreu's Hospital

In 2010 Saint Andreu's Hospital celebrated its 750 anniversary. The hospital dates from 1260 and it was popularly known as "Upper Hospital" and, later, it was called Sant Andreu due to the chapel built next to it in 1300.

Originally, its function was to host pilgrims, wanderers and needy, but slowly, the hospital started to derive functions to the attention of the ill. Therefore, the hospital was expanded along the centuries; the current building dates from the XXth century and was projected by Ignasi Oms i Ponsa.
