The itinerary Montserrat - Manresa is much more than a nature walk in the central Catalonia, it is a journey of discovery of a natural landscape and a story that marked the life of a universal character: Saint Ignatius of Loyola. In 1522 , the saint began a pilgrimage from his homeland at Loyola to Manresa, where he found the inspiration that led him to found the Society of Jesus and write the Spiritual Exercicies book, which is the base of the jesuit doctrine.
