The Marxa del Pelegrí (Pilgrim’s Walk) has been organized annually since 2015, at the end of March or beginning of April. It follows the final stage of the Ignatian Way between Montserrat and Manresa, retracing the steps taken by Ignatius of Loyola on March 25, 1522, reliving his experience while enjoying the landscapes that captivated him.
This is a 26-km route where participants can discover inspiring landscapes: from the Monastery of Montserrat through Santa Cecília, Castellbell i el Vilar, Castellgalí and Oller del Mas, ending in the center of Manresa. The walk also allows participants, upon arrival, to rediscover the city that inspired this globally influential figure.
In recent editions, new routes and formats have been added to make the activity as accessible as possible, such as the 15-km circular route starting from Plaça Major in Manresa, passing Torre Lluvià, Gorg Blau, Font de l’Arrel and Oller del Mas, where it connects with the final stage of the Way; or the 8-km downhill option from Montserrat to Sant Cristòfol (Castellbell i el Vilar), with return transport to Manresa.
