EUROPEAN HERITAGE DAYS 2026
Once again, Catalonia is celebrating the European Heritage Days (EHD), an initiative of the Council of Europe and the European Commission that has been held continuously since 1991, with the aim of bringing Catalonia’s monumental heritage closer to the whole population.
Below you can find the programme of activities we are offering for this year’s edition:
Friday, 9 October, from 11 am to 1 pm and from 5 to 8 pm
THE CAPUTXINES CONVENT. Almost four centuries of cloistered life
Visit to the spaces of the convent founded in 1638 in the birthplace of Mother Serafina, founder of the Capuchin order in Spain. Visitors will be able to see the cloister with its recovered Gothic capitals, the work areas and the rooms occupied by the sisters until a few months ago. The visit will also explain the destruction suffered by the convent during the Tragic Week (1909) and the Spanish Civil War (1936).

- Duration: approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes
- The visit is partially accessible to people with reduced mobility. Any special accessibility requirements must be indicated when making the reservation.

Guided tour showcasing the completion of the restoration works on the façades and roofs of the historic building.
