Visita lliure gratuïta al Carrer del Balç, un magnífic exemple d'urbanisme medieval català.
The Agulla Park was created with the construction of the l’Agulla Lake between 1966 and 1974. The lake covers an area of approximately 64,000 m² and has a capacity of around 200,000 m³. Its main water source is the Manresa Sèquia canal, of medieval origin.
These features ensure a water reserve capable of supplying Manresa for more than a week. The lake’s primary function is to serve as an auxiliary water reservoir for the city in case the Sèquia canal suffers damage or a supply interruption. Additionally, during canal maintenance, the lake regulates the city’s daily water consumption.
The lake is surrounded by a park containing 688 trees of about twenty different species. Various water-related sports can also be practiced on the lake. Within the park, visitors can find the Sèquia Park Visitor Center (InfoSéquia), a café, an ice cream stand, and a children’s playground. During Manresa’s Fiesta Mayor, it becomes the main venue for the traditional fireworks display.
